If youāve noticed a sudden drop in views, likes, and engagementādonāt panic. Youāre not shadowbanned. Your audience didnāt just lose interest overnight. And no, your social media team isnāt slacking. The truth? The platforms have changed. Remember the Old Days? There was a time when posts showed up in chronological order. You posted, your followers saw it. Simple. Now? Joining James Arthur Design Co. has quite literally changed my lifeāmore than I ever expected. Unlike many of the designers and creatives on the team, I come from a very different background. For the past nine years, I worked in the broadcasting industry as a meteorologist. My journey started at Saint Louis University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. After graduation, I moved around a bit. My first job took me to Lubbock, Texasāwhere the storms are no joke. I had the incredible opportunity to chase some of the most thrilling and intense weather events of my... View Article

At James Arthur Design Co., we love a good trend. So when we saw people turning themselves into AI-generated action figures, we had to try it. The result? A full team of mini versions of ourselvesāeach one with its own personality, packaging, and accessories. How It Started I, Reagan, went first. I uploaded a headshot and our company logo into ChatGPT, then used this prompt: I want to make an action figurine of myself for work. I have attached a photo for reference. I have [insert details about your appearance]. I am also attaching the company logo to include on... View Article

For over 50 years, Southwest Airlines has built its reputation on affordability, customer service, and the promise of āBags Fly Free.ā This slogan wasnāt just a catchy tagline; it was a core part of the airlineās brand identity, setting it apart from competitors that nickel-and-dimed travelers with baggage fees. Now, with reports that Southwest is canceling its free bag policy, the airline is facing a storm of backlash, and for good reason. This move is a textbook example of how to damage brand loyalty, ignore customer expectations, and make a costly business mistake. Hereās why it matters and what business... View Article

Becoming a part of the James Arthur Design Company team has been a liberating experience. Reflecting on my journey as a designer, I find myself revisiting the creative toolbox Iāve carefully built and the habits that have evolved over time. When I was a budding designer, I held a strong resistance to seeking inspiration when starting a new project funny enough. I wanted my work to be influenced solely by my own ideas, believing that external sources might dilute my originality. While this mindset wasnāt entirely without merit, in hindsight, it was limiting. By confining myself to the boundaries of... View Article

For a few months leading into 2025, we were warned that the popular video-social media app TikTok would be banned in the U.S. Whether the decision to keep the app accessible is upheld or not, the appās impact on how we consume and create content is undeniable ā and still full of lessons. Even for something as complex (an un-TikTok-like) as SEO. When Vine died in 2017, TikTok tik-took over within the year. Since then, thereās not only been countless trends, but countless trend styles. You may remember the āHow often do you think about the Roman Empire?ā trend or... View Article
